Andrew and I, and our families are so glad that we decided to have our wedding reception at The Westin! From the moment we started planning; Ashley did an amazing job of understanding what we wanted for our wedding day. She listened to us, but she also provided her expert advice to make our day the best it could possibly be. She was there when I had exciting news or a bridal crisis. Having Ashley there to help us made planning a wedding a much less daunting task!
 
We were able to block rooms and plan a welcome reception for our early arrival and out of town guests with great ease. When we arrived at the hotel the day before the wedding, we received incredible personal service. It really seemed like everyone who worked at the hotel knew who we were and did everything in their power to ensure that we were satisfied customers. Our guests also raved about the service they received from the hotel staff. Our wedding reception took place in the gorgeous Narragansett Ballroom (we love, love, LOVE the chandeliers in the room).  The food and service was, as we expected, excellent. As a bride, I can honestly say that on my wedding day I was able to just be excited about getting married. I had peace of mind that Ashley and The Westin staff would take care of everything on that day. From the central location in Providence to the personal service we received, we could not have asked for a better place to have our wedding!

I speak on behalf of myself, husband, and family to say that The Westin Providence did an incredible job! The staff and service was beyond professional and catered to our every need - it was truly first class! My guests are still talking about how beautiful the reception was. It was definitely a night to remember! A few things I need to point out starting with the food. It was perfection! Kudos to the Chef! I loved how he was able to create a meal that was exactly what I wanted, full of flavor and presented with lots of creativity. 

Secondly, Ashley (Catering Sales Manager) was a blessing to work with. She is so easy to talk to and really listened to how I envisioned my wedding day. I know this because she captured it all and made everything come together perfectly. There is nothing I would have changed. Thank you Westin for orchestrating such a beautiful wedding for me and my husband! 

Hi Ashley

One of the most important days in a family life is when their child gets married. Our first daughter became engaged and the whirlwind of planning a wedding started. We visited many venues and decided on The Westin Providence because of the beauty of the Narragansett Ballroom, the location of being in the capital city, and the wonderful accommodations that our out of town guests would receive. What we ended up getting was so much more. It was the personal attention to every detail by our wedding coordinator and the executive chef who went out of his way to help create a menu that our guests still rave about. 

We wanted our daughter’s wedding to be elegant, fun and most important all about family. One of the simplest things we did to create this was having pictures of parents, grandparents and great grandparents on their wedding days displayed in the beautiful china closets the Westin has in its cocktail room. Our wedding coordinator, Ashley Wilcox suggested it and was the hit of the evening. She stayed with us the whole evening taking care of everything while we all just had fun without a care in the world. We had close to 300 guests who have said over and over, “Not a detail was missed or misshaped”.  We owe Ashley and Westin “kudos” for it all!

As you all know, the food can make or break and event. The chef and his staff went above and beyond accommodating guests and creating a menu that was better than most 5 star restaurants around the state. The staff was plentiful around the guests; making sure plates were placed and picked up in a timely manner. The flow of desserts around the room meant for guests not to wait in long lines and was enjoyed by all. The staff was not only accommodating but personable in their interaction with our guests and told us repeatedly throughout the evening. The staff was not even too tired to create an amazing breakfast the next day for our overnight guests that we all enjoyed.

Our experience with The Westin Providence made our daughter’s wedding a truly special day that I will remember fondly forever. I would not have changed a thing!
